Title: "Autumnal Triptych"
My friend Robyn calls this my "magnum opus." Well, I don't
know about that, but it did take me a long time to plan and make. I
entered this in the 2002 Quilt Fiesta of the Northern New Mexico
Quilt Guild.
The fabric determined the title. It was fun playing with the
different possibilities for the Log Cabin design. I was influenced by
Libby Lehman's "Threadplay," but did not know how to do it
right at the time--hence, these pieces are pretty "wavy."
(I've since heard Libby speak at a quilt guild meeting, and she
embroiders before quilting, and blocks the heck out of the pieces after
quilting!).
